The P.A.T.H. (Pursuit of Achievement, Transitional Housing)
The P.A.T.H. (Pursuit of Achievement, Transitional Housing), a Christian centered home, provides young females aging out of foster care in making the decisions that will shape their lives, increase their opportunities for economic success and secure lifelong connections that assist them in transitioning from the child welfare system into healthy and meaningful adulthood.
Foster Care
Foster care ends at the age of 18 with exception of two states: Vermont and Illinois who currently support their foster care to extend the age of maturity from 18 to 21 for those who choose to remain. Without federal funding the remaining states find it difficult to financially support this option. The P.A.T.H., provides an opportunity for them to learn the necessary skills and acquire the necessary education to become productive and law abiding citizens within their community. The program is designed for those youth, who desire the chance, to overcome their circumstances that were dealt to them beyond their control.
